SGM to amend constition in line with CW 46 of the Income Tax Act 2007
The WIHA secretary has called a Special General meeting at the request of the WIHA president, to alter the constitution to allow an income tax exemption as an amateur sports promoter under section CW 46 of the Income Tax Act 2007 to be granted.
The WIHA secretary has called a Special General meeting at the request of the WIHA president, to alter the constitution to allow an income tax exemption as an amateur sports promoter under section CW 46 of the Income Tax Act 2007 to be granted. In order to qualify for this exemption, Clause 8 of the constitution must be altered.
The proposed amendment to clause 8 is as follows:
“No addition to or alteration of the objects, personal benefit clause or the winding up clause shall be made which affect the tax-exempt status. The provisions and effect of this clause shall not be removed from this document and shall be included and implied into any document replacing this document.”
In accordance with the WIHA constitution, this notice is given 21 days prior to the SGM, which will take place on Monday, September 5th 2022, at 8pm.
In accordance with section 6.2.2 of the WIHA constition, the Special General Meeting shall only consider the business listed in the notice convening the meeting. No other correspondence or general business will be discussed thereat.
